I may not have your eyes, I may not have your nose,
I was given something,
that my soul needed more;
something closer, to Thee
something closer for me,
to see what I needed to be, for He.
You showed me the way,
to the path of those who have not gone astray,
I am strong & independent when I need to be,
I am vulnerable, dependent, when I see the need.
You showed me that both ways are there to keep,
a delicate balance in the growth of me,
I tangled my roots, in the best kind of way,
embedded my being, so my soul would stay,
focused on growing,
sowing the seeds, of humility, kinship, love for Thee & His humanity.
you are;
mother
home maker
care taker
the best of all cuddlers
your warm arms and your knowing eyes,
your love so pure, un-selfish, all of the time
you are;
mother
nation builder
