I want to spread hope while encouraging and promoting the positive stories in these difficult times we are facing as a result of COVID-19.
There’s no doubt that in these extraordinary times we need to take immediate, bold and clear-headed steps. As more restrictions come in place, it will be a test of our nerves.
There would be major turbulence ahead. There would be social and economic costs to pay. There would be jolts for our healthcare system. There would be instability with supply chains.
But let me assure you to believe that with patience, prayer, and hard work we shall bloom again.
The curve will flatten, bend and fall. Restrictions will loosen. Narratives will change.
But these unprecedented trying times demand that we remain resolute and generous. That we rise above our egos and our narrow agendas. That we lead a mission.
So, join me as I step up with hundreds of volunteers from the 22 nationwide chapters of Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Australia in the true Australian spirit to watch out for each other. To become our brother’s keeper. To help those that are less fortunate or more vulnerable.
Find a way to help whoever you can in whatever way possible. It all makes a difference. Let that be what defines us. Not the panic, not the infighting, not the cavalier attitude.
